FORD Lifts !
Does anbody know of A FORD dealership in the DFW area that will put A lift kit on and not cry WARANTY VOID ?
I went to Sam Packs Ford in Lewisville where I bought A 2012 F250 SD and the service mgr. is pretty much saying it will void the waranty because of the bigger tires associated with A 5" lift. Claims it puts to much strain on the drive train..I asked what A travel trailer does to one and got A blank stare ?
Thanks for any help..

I've been doing some searching and found a little info, It looks like If a dealer says it voids something, doesn't mean it to the fact. You can call FORD and appeal it. Some people are saying it only voids warranty if they can prove the modification was a direct link to a failure. I don't know of anyone that would do it without squawking around that area. Hopefully some of the Dallas area members will chime in soon

They can't void your warranty for any aftermarket part, with the exception of DPF deletes and EGR deletes which are illegal modifications. According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a dealer or manufacturer cannot void or charge for a warranty service based on use of aftermarket products unless a failure is a DIRECT result of use of the aftermarket product and they will have to prove how.
A dealership here tried that on a friend of mine when he got his '09 F-150. We put exhaust on it like 2 days after he bought it, then they tried to void the warranty when his 3rd brake light started leaking water in the cab. When I brought that up to them, they were pretty quick about fixing the leak.
Now if you go installing high compression pistons, turbos, superchargers, etc don't expect the dealer to warranty your head gaskets when they blow.. Or don't try to warranty the turbo on your diesel when you installed a programmer or anything that increases the boost pressure the turbo is making.
