front diffrentral question
Hey guys i was looking at my truck today and noticed that the drivers front trie looks to bent. Im thinking maybe it needs an axle put in? Its a 92 f150 4x4. Im starting to think this truck is junk and need to trade it for something else ugh any help would be great.

You really didn't give much to go on to be of any big help at this point other then to say, sounds like you probably need a alignment at a minimum. Possibly bushing, ball joint or spring work but doubt you need a different/new axle. That is to say doubt the axle itself is the problem, damage knuckle perhaps but that's fairly slim, if hit something with a wheel?
We could give you more to go on if you posted pictures of it, most important angle/view would be straight looking at the front of the truck, camera down about axle height of the ground both wheels in the picture. Include various close ups of front suspension/steering linkages, see if someone spots something jump out obvious type wrong with it.
Be able guide you check it out from there.

ill try to post pictures up later. The tire on the driver side the bottom of the tire looks like its going in ward. The top of the tire is going out toward the fender. I bought the truck drove it home and it has been sitting there is alot that needs to be done but never noticed it when looking it over till i got it home. The front end made noise when it went into 4wheel drive but seemed to stop after going in and out a few times. Im not to fimilar with the front ends but im not afraid to fix stuff myself as long as i know what im up against or where to look. Im thinking it could be the axle inside because my father in law said it sounds like a wheel bearing is coming from it when driving it in the driveway but im worried the shaft is bent or something. I havnt hit anything with it but it looks like the PO used it as a work truck died and didnt take the best of care of it mechanically. The guy i got the truck from started doing body work to it but mechanically nothing.

First thing to do, jack up truck on that side under the axel, wiggle it up and to make sure it isn't a ball joint, (no slack) please do this before you drive it anymore.while you have it up wiggle it side to side to check tie rod. Does it look different after you back it up or go forward? Does it have a electronic or manual transfercase, manual or auto hubs? Does it make this noise going into 4hi or 4lo or 2hi? What gear do you have it in when changing the range? Does it make noise in four wheel drive going forward or backward, if so for how far?
