oh boy

Did you sample the cheese at Tilba ? Thats Christina's favorite spot.
Was wondering what you you ended up doing about that oil pump. (obviously nothing, lol ) And I can strike off the airbag system of my wish list. You will have to clear sum funds through the war office and get her sorted. Dont forget Clay is coming soon.

Yer im tossing whether to reuse my factory parabolic springs and then had lift shackles (because it wasnt a bad ride with factory front springs)to get say a 5 inch lift of just go with the skyjacker 6 inch coil over set up,atleast i wont too worry about my suspension on our trip in august..

Nah m8. Only got as far as Burrum Heads. Back at Harrington Beach atm (near Taree). Heading home on Tues.

I think I will go with the 3" block and track bar that Clay has on the rear. With my 2.5"lift on my springs that will give me 5. I spoke to Dobinson who supplied my 2.5"lift about increasing the front to match the rear blocks and it should be sweet. Should cost me around 1400 all up. My springs are quite firm but Im used to it. I can stick half a ton in the rear and hook up my 2 ton camper and those babies dont move. Im realy pleased how it handles the weight. I have sat on 100 - 110 all the way and the thing pulls so hard. The highest the Egt's hit were 600C.

I reckon Im 6ton all up and like I said I smashed it all the way. I was using 80Tow. Spose the tune worx. It keeps it up and around 2500 - 2800 rpm in turd when you hit hills or push the pedal. Very impressed.

Happy new year, 2012. Mate I gotta keep up with ewes. I was at Narooma and visited the Tilba Cheese factory. Drove the F250 down to Tuross Head, then Narooma, then Bermagui through to Tathra. Found some nice river crossings on the Bega and Brogo rivers, didn't even wet the running boards. Then up Brown Mountain back to Canberra. EGT barely reached 500c hammering up the mountain 5 up and lightly loaded. The truck is runnning great and I hope to have many more good trips in 2012.

That was the first time in a long time I put it in 4WD. Going up a steep hill over contour bars I used low range. Throttle is bloody touchy though, kangaroo hopping an auto - the kids were telling me that I should re-sit my drivers licence again, cheeky beggars!

1400f = 760C

500c = 932f

My EGT sensor is also mounted at the rear of the LH exhaust manifold (bought the 1/4" NPT tap and bit set from RR).

I think my EGT was way down on last year, probably cause of the much lower air temps this summer.
