FICM testing beyond voltage? Melted injector plug

I have read that the FICM can still be bad even if I am reading all of the proper voltages. Are there any additional tests that I can conduct to verify FICM function other than voltage input/output? I am waiting on my AE bundle to be delivered next week. Does it have enhanced FICM testing? I don't have an extra FICM to swap out, unless someone here in the forum lives near me and would like to stop by.

I dont have the AE but

I beleive that you should be able to Buzz each injector 1 at a time

so the tranny range sensor was ok???

Yes. I entered the xgauge values you provided and I got the same readings that you had. So that checks out ok.

Running out of things to check and the truck has been sitting WAY too long. I did swap out the injector harness because I found a melted plug located driver side second one from the firewall.

I am thinking this may have caused additional damage at the injector or backwards to the FICM. After the new harness was installed, I started the truck and could hear a ticking noise in the location where this damaged plug was. So I decided to bite the bullet and get AE. Towing and diagnostic fees pretty much equal the cost of the software, plus I know I will save $ in the future. Any suggestions?

I just went out to try and start the truck because it has been starting when left to sit for a while. Today my no hot restart has transformed into a crank no start. The engine skips while cranking and there is white smoke puffing from the tailpipe, both of which are new conditions as of today. I can't wait to get this "experience" behind me.

Still no codes from SGII even though my DTC count is up to 7.

Some times it's cheaper to let the dealer do the diagnostics. Esp. if you need the truck now.
