check for a vref short use the maf to do it. if the icp was wired incorrectly that could be the casue. also unplug the ebp. and give that a go. im not sure my name poping up is a good thing

So like i say,i value your opinion along with a fella name m-chan from the org. Very slick tech. So anyway,i got this sucker building psi,i was told by company workers that the last diesel shop put a hpop on the truck. Ford couldnt find any records were this shop bought a pump that style. So i pulled my hair out with every test known to god before i raised hell and got the owner to purchase a new pump. Sure enuff it starts,but ony runs for 20 seconds or so. Ive put all new inj o-rings btw cause some jack leg didnt torque the hold downs to the required 28 ft pounds. Ive heard people torqin those to 24 ft pounds,but im not comfy with that....

Thats whats warping my mind,ive done countless headgasket jobs,motor installs,rebuilds and all kinds of crazy stuff with these motors,and every one of em has started in no less than a minute,stuttered,then plained out fine....no,theres sumthin more sinister at work here... If i gotta break myself,i wont quit till this sumb1tch is rollin coal.

The other day I was working on a security gate system, books open woudent work im reading, and doing all these tests and nothing, lol my apprentice comes over and looks at it and flips this little black manual override switch its like how i miss that? only reason I mention a simple thing like that to a well experienced tech like yourself.

No dukie,your absolutly correct,ive got the expeirence. Im missing somthin simple. And its somthing simple. I was hopeing to get input from you guys on it. AND I HAVE. i do appreciate all the info guys. Ill update daily on the progress.
The customer has doled out so much cash on this thing im temped to tell him to buy the part and i will get it running for free. I hate like hell that people already shy away from a 6.0 when these motors are in fact a work of art. A few simple things to remove and replace and wah lah... You have a very reliable truck.
