honestly i havent driven my expedition much yet, had it for a month and put 60 miles on it maybe, maybe the computer is relearning certain things, but still the canned superchips tune felt a bit less hesitant then the 5star sct tune for now, maybe with a bit more mileage it will feel different.

 

Can someone tell me what a "canned tune" is.I see this term used here a lot,but I've been trying to figure out what is means.Help me,I begging you

 

Sure!
"canned tunes" are the tunes that either SuperChips/SCT/BullyDog build "for the masses" and come loaded into the programmer from the big manufacturer. In many cases they are not as aggressive as a tune built by a shop or tuner like Mike Butler.

Im looking for 2 (maybe 3) tuners (or one that isnt vin locked like the superchips).
My SO has 3 Expeditions (all stock) and we are looking to get a tuner. We bought a superchips for out 07 Dodge p/u and it was AWESOME after the tuner.

Sheriff wants me to get a superchips again but I think I can find a better price, have better performance gains and get an all around better deal with custom tunes vs canned superchips tunes.
