I think I need a couple more measurements: On level ground, can someone measure from the ground to centerline of rearward hanger hole, and the ground to centerline of front lower shackle hole?
So far I have: hanger hole to front hanger hole is 35.38". from the bottom of the frame in a line, it is -2.38" at back spring hanger, 1.75" front hanger hole, but the shackle drop 2.75" so it hangs down -1" below frame. The frame itself is 6" high at the back hanger, but only 3.5" at the front hole, but a level placed on the bottom of the frame will show the very front comes down and meets the same line as the 6" section. According to Doc there is a 2 degree angle. By my calculations, the slope would 1" in 35.38" if the frame was level, but it is not. I'm trying to figure out where to drill the holes for mounting the springs and axle to a straight piece of rectangle tube yet keep everything within spec of caster for a baseline. (If the tube ends up not being level, then I can shim the beam axle, but need a baseline)

Okay. I THINK I know what measurements you need. This is where the measurements will vary because of tire size differences. I am running 215/85/16 radials. But I think you're more interested in using the measurements to figure out geometries than the shear measurements themselves. Right? If you can show us a quick pic of the measurements you want, it would be helpful.
Plus I would feel more comfortable if somebody else chimes in with a frame angle measurement. Theirs may fluctuate slightly.

Okay dude, I went and measured. Keep in mind my springs are original and "tired" (but complete and unbroken). All measurements are from the center grease fittings in the shackle pins to the floor. Starting from the front of the truck and going to the back:
Front spring, front upper through the frame - 15 1/2"
Front spring, front lower through the shackle - 13 1/4"
Front spring, rear through the frame - 12 3/4"
Rear spring, front through the frame - 21 1/8"
Rear spring, rear through the frame - 24 1/4"
Rear spring, rear through the shackle - 21 3/4"
Make sense? Hope that helps.

My '62 Fairlane is getting the front axle and springs from my spare F1 frame. The front rails are being replaced with a rectangle tube to match the originals, the overall width is within a 1/4", and they will be adjusted that amount to keep the axle and springs intact. The rear hanger is an L bracket which = no adjustment. The front will have to be all of the height adjustment for caster, and if the car has a 2 degree rake, all is good. If not, then shims may be needed.
