Can someone tell me what this part is?
can some one help me out and tell me what this part is , i think it might have something to do with the problems im having with my truck turning off when i put it in drive...... its from a 96 f150

That's the servo for your cruise control.

I've never had to mess with one, and I don't know if it could cause your shutting-down problem. You might try disconnecting it...
