Help with changing side mirror bulb 2006 250
This is my first post!! Hope to share many more post and pics. My current situation is this: my passenger side mirror light on my 2006 f250 is out. I need help or step by step to resolve this issue. What I have done so far:
I got the mirror part off and detached the heating wiring. Now is where I am stumped. I don't know how to get to the two bolts holding the light in out
Do I remove the back housing of the mirror assembly,
When I start detaching the outer housing I notice this side is stubborn to come undone which prompted me to stop and join this wonderful forum and post this question.
Again my goal is to change the light in the side mirror. I can get a visual on two bolts that appear to hold in the light but I cannot get to it. What do I do fellas?

Thanks for the fast response. I am half way there. by the picture diagram from the first post I realized there must be another clip or two I potentially missed and that was exactly what it was. <a href="http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/?action=view&current=f2504.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/f2504.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Now I thought from looking in it was 3 small bolts that held the light in but its not. the second response posted here I had researched that and noticed it said "press on the two release clips on the light lense," but I did and it wont budge. lol

The little clip is a triangle and I cannot figure out how to disengage it. Or is it the three small clips above the circles? Thanks for the help it is much appreciated.

Got it out! I took a pair of pliers and easily squeezed the two clips together and pushed out and it came out. What does that make me? I think Al can say it better than I can at 2:19-2:26. Watch from Al Pacino drives a Ferrari in 'Scent of a woman' - YouTube
Thanks again.

I called Auto Zone and Advanced Auto and they do not have this part in stock.<a href="http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/?action=view&current=f2506.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/f2506.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
One mentioned that this part would more than likely need to be picked up at the dealership. The other said they will probably try to sell you the whole mirror assembly which I do not need. I tried ebay and they sell aftermarket lights but in pairs ranging from $80 and up. I wanted to see if anyone knows where I can get my hands on just one light preferably the same as my other mirror light? I was hoping I could purchase this one piece aiming at a cheap fix. My last case scenario I could roll to the junkyard and see if I could purchase one off a totaled truck like mine. Any suggestions?

Well I was curious and took the light and plugged it back up to see if it might work. Long shot but eh, wth! <a href="http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/?action=view&current=f2507.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff478/jpb0703/f2507.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
That was my first response, haha. Maybe after reinstalling everything it will stay like this. If not I will post differently.

they may be expensive, but its not like they have a jedi mind trick at thier disposal. "YOU NEED COMPLETE NEW MIRRORS" yes i will purchase new mirrors... Just call and ask them... The junk yard is the one that wont let you buy just the light...
