I have a chrome front bumper that I am hoping to make new again. I found a picture on the internet of one that is similar to how mine looks. here it is:

It has tiny white/gray dots all over it which make it seem faded. There isnt any severe rust on it but I just want to make those come off. I would appreciate any help.

Also is there a how to article anywhere on restoring vehicle badges? I have a 1985 F250 explorer that i am restoring and there are no reproduction badges for that model. Thanks so much for yalls help!

 

0000# steel wool will bring off about anything thats going to come off. Other than that, replating is about the only other option. Also good on glass. People have tried a million things including Coke and aluminum foil.

Carpenter prolly bought all of FoMoCo's remaining stock of this emblem. Tis nothing new, he's been doing this for the past 20 years.
