Are you refering to with and without rub strips?

No...with/without the bumper strips makes no difference. What does make a difference is...which front bumper the truck has.

Some 1978/79's use the same front bumper as 1964/77 F100/350's. Most use the unique to 1978/79 only front bumper also shared with all 1978/79 Bronco's.
