Gary, do you still have these fenders? I'm in need of a passenger side fender.

have you ever seen the "There's more to life than gas mileage" license plate frames? Our Galaxie had one on it when we bought it. Wish we didn't toss that one.

Went up to see the truck today. The cab is sitting on the frame, as is the radiator support. The cab, fenders, and hood have been buffed and shine beautifully. John is waiting on his media-blasting guy to do the bed and then he'll install the bedsides. He thinks he may have the truck back to me in late May.

Hey Gary, I thought we had an agreement? Taking pics of the beautiful work someone else is doing on your truck isn't the same as YOU getting back to work on your truck. All joking aside, it looks great! What product are you using on the underside?

I don't know the answer to that question, but I'll ask. He has already undercoated it twice while it was on the rotisserie.

As for my work, I have to start building an engine, soon!

Are you suggesting that Darth's new engine might be finished before yours?

Didn't suggest anything of the sort. However, there's a very real possibility of that. I have a few things going on at the mo:
  • Getting a few parts for the paint/body guy, inc the cab mount hardware and tailgate.
  • Rehabilitating the Subie so our daughter and grandkids have something to drive when they come here in late May. Brakes, oil/filter, ATF/filter, coolant, and a mild touchup on the paint - by my paint/body guy.
  • Working with the contractor on the pad and roof being poured/built behind the shop to hold a few of my "toys", as the neighbor called them
  • Enjoying the boat, as we did today, and working out the details so it'll be ready when the kids get here. Something's been draining one of the batteries, but I think I found it today - the depthsounder isn't switched with the key.
  • Getting the '50 Chevy's title sorted out as it didn't have one. And I think I finished that today.
  • Getting the last of the reservations for the Disney trip in May.
  • Getting all of the reservations for the fall vacation
Is that enough excuses for you winning the race?

I wasn't racing, just surprised that it is taking you this long considering how old the engine thread is.

Good observation, Brad. John spent a lot of time massaging the doors and the cab to get everything to fit properly.

Oh yeah, you can tell that straight away, none of them ever left the factory that good.

Don't know how the snoozy man got in there, I selected this guy
