Scott,
I agree, I like the styling of the ribbed and rolled edges. While you are cutting and modifying it you could add a Ford script to it similar to what Jolly Roger Joe did to his bed.
Got the flatbed narrowed 8" and shortened 2 feet. What a chore......but it's bolted down and looks pretty good. Still lots to do...
I've been working on the gas hole/filler pipe. I decided to recess it into the side rail for a cleaner look. Easy right? A week later it's almost done....
Scott I've been waiting anxiously for my weekly fix of this thread. I know you will always do something for me to get excited over. You've done it again great idea on the door.
Not much happening on this lately......no extra time. I did get the mud flaps and tail lights installed, and got my license plates.
Still needs the bed wood, and a front bumper, etc, etc.
snapped a pic I thought was cool..................
Been working on the front bumper, decided to use the '49 Plymouth one I had.
I had to add 11" to the center, but that part will be hidden by the license plate. Just mocked up for now, still needs more welding and I need to make some brackets.
I think this might work....
