I like that stance.

That is a sweet looking 65/66 in your shop!
Thanks! The red truck is a '65 F100....complete frame off resto. Almost finished!

Second pic; why does every flat surface in my shop magically attract "stuff"????
At least you still have lots of room on the flat surface...lol Those trucks look awesome as does your clean shop.

Scott,
I like he new stance. I think it looks great.

The worst thing about trucks is that if they sit for more than a week the bed magically fills up with stuff. What is this stuff? where does it come from? More importantly, why can't I throw it away?!?

The 65 looks amazing. You've been busy

I decided to build my headache rack behind the cab.......just a simple wooden piece.
It will get stained black to match the bed. The boards are some my dad cut on his sawmill before he passed. Nice to have a little part of him riding around with me.....

Pic is just a mock up

It's great to have that wood be a part of your truck!

Looking good Scott. I love to see parts with personal meaning used is ways like this. Every time you hop in the truck you will have a nice reminder of your dad.

I finished up the headache rack. I kept it cab width so it's not hanging out in the wind. This thing has the aerodynamics of a barn door as it is.

Can't seem to get excited about finishing the interior.....maybe this winter. I would like to address the floor though. Problem is, any kind of carpet/mat needs to be removable so I can get the engine covers out. Kind of a pain.
Was thinking maybe just using bed liner on the floor then some smaller floor mats for under feet?
What do you all think?

I like it! How did you finish the boards to get that black weathered look?
I think the bed liner and floor mat idea is a winner. Keeps it protected and you won't worry about dirty shoes!

i have bed liner in my cab with simple, cheap Wal***t rubber mats. i like it. pull the mats, sweep out the floor, shake out the mats and put them back.

I'm a firm believer in not having permanent carpeting in a truck. I like the idea of the bedliner for the flooring. I think that coupled with some floor mats would be perfect

Nice job on the rack

I used black stain and wiped most back off. It's a bit lighter than the bed floor, but I like it. The circle saw marks give it some character...

Gonna try the bedliner on the floor......I have carpet(black) in my F-1, I like how it insulates for heat and sound, but it always looks dirty

The truck is looking great!

If I ever get that far on my 54 I'm going with bedliner on the floor. And the first couple of coats I'm adding some Hy-Tech ceramic spheres to the bed liner.Insulating Paint Additive Makes Paint Insulate That should help cut down on some of the drivetrain heat transferring into the interior.

I will place my vote for the bedliner and rubber mats. Funny, just a couple of hours ago I was belt sanding cabinet door panels and drawer fronts made from the wood I bought from you last spring. I can tell the stuff from your dad's mill from the old barn wood because there aren't nail holes in your dad's wood. The cabinets will live on in a beautiful log home that's being remodeled on the island. Keep up the good work. It is always nice to 'visit' you on this great thread.
