Scott,

Here's a crazy idea.....how about mounting that cab light on the center bar of the grill next to the headlight. It looks like it might have the correct curvature. It could mount either on the topside or the bottom.

Either that, or I like Ray's method of running the lights on the cowl in conjunction with installing the dual elements in the original running lights

That is where the turn signal lights in the parking light location running in parallel with these work. Another advantage of this location is they are visible to a driver in your blind spot behind/beside you. The other driver is too far forward to see your turn signal stop light down under the bed but he can see this.

Scott, I considered mounting the T/S on the fenders, but I don't like the idea of working around them. It's hard enough to get at the engine with the narrow hood opening...and I'm not going to put a flip on it. But if the fenders had the original holes there, I might still have done it and searched for original lights.

I like the way Joe's (harleymsn) look on Edith, so I got those. And just because I felt like it, I converted my park lights to dual filament and made them turn signals too. Nobody in front of me can miss the signal...

Scott I am planning on putting lights inside the grille between the headlamp and teeth at bottom. I have no parking lights with my truck and thought being setback would look good. But there are always the round small motorcycle style lamps.

Made some progress on the wiring.......got the dash mostly finished up. Next on to the front lights. I will wait on the rear lights till I get the bed mounted and see where I want them. I have been checking circuits as I go to make sure everything works.

Scott, I had to find these pictures. This is what I did before I started taking things apart. These are thin, straight LED assemblies that I found at AutoZone. I used them as parking lights but later they had the same assembly that added a sequential turn feature.

let there be light!

Got the wiring pretty much finished....only a couple minor gremlins.
Cab lights are on and look very cool!
Also got my mini tach mounted in the dash clock hole. The tach was a little too small for the hole, so I made an adapter ring from an old gauge bezel. Then polished the brass rim. Wish it was chrome, but oh well.

I have started working on the engine cover again, hope to get it mocked up tomorrow.....

Actually, I think the brass ring looks good with that dash.

Haha......maybe. I hope to have it fired up in the next couple weeks. Still need to rebuild the front brakes though.
No seats installed yet either....
