Hello everyone i have recently developed wheel well rust on my 05 f350. And i have stock wheels and tires and was wanting to go with some fender flares to cover it up but i like the ones that look bolted on and i cant seem to find any that wont be too wide and make my truck look bad. Any ideas? Thanks!
What's the best technique for repairing the rust? My rear wheel wells are shot on my '03 F250 C/C. For the price of some of the quotes I've received I could probably find a replacement bed from the south.
If you have a long box, find a take-off from somebody that did a flatbed. Salvage yards have lots of them and so do some flat bed dealers... and Craigslist. If it's a short box, you won't find replacements for a decent cost because they are rare (few short-box flatbeds). Another option is to clean up and kill the rust and install some flares to cover up the damage.
I've checked Craigslist. The guy that seems to sell the most beds says he can't ever get a hold of any from down south. He goes down there to buy beds and brings back up to Ohio. He told me about some company near Pittsburgh, PA that does take-offs but didn't know the name My bed is 8'
