My baby turned __ today...
Im feel very proud of my purchase for this truck. Today Im celebrating 1 month since I purchased my ex. I Know, I know, some of you probably have had yours way longer but to me one month is special. Because just last month I was craming 5 kids in my mother inlaws extera. No 3rd row. She came at a time when stress levels were through the roof after losing the biggest mistake I as man made this year. Selling my sweet blue 94 suburban wich I loved dearly for a 96 dodge caravan With 260k miles on it. Yea, big mistake.
But with all mistakes we learn valuable lessons and at times turn for the best. In my case a bit of both because I still miss my old truck. But I got a new love and Im moving on much happier. 1 month of nothing but sweet rides throu the long open roads of south florida. 1 month enjoying everybit of what else came from it, FTE.
I've never been much of a forum type of guy and to be honest I thought of it as just a place to get quick answeres on problems and move on. FTE has really grounded me in many ways than one. Right after losing that piece of crap of a vihicle I called the box, the wife and I were not really seeing eye to eye on sertain ideas and decissions about our new transportation and it kind of put a senseless but odd vibe. She wanted a cute fuel efficient minivan with sliding doors and dvd's and enough space in the cargo for the soccer ***** and mary-k products.
I needed a truck that I can haul 7 people, can take a beating, will deliver horse power in a heartbeat, can handle the type of work I do and makes a statement. I though I found that in the suburban. Don't get me wrong, the sub was a sweet yet aggressive ride. I owned 3 in 5 year.
Now looking back I can say the events of a month ago brought me here and with this awesome looking truck I called Blue resurrection for all the right reasons. I think about it all the time, I walk out side just to look at it and sometimes I even give it a hug..lol.. You should try that sometime. She'll come alive... and your neighbors will probably think you are drunk or something. But yea, hug your Ex.
Feel free to post your anniversary stories as Im sure many of us enjoy reading them. You all have a story that came with your truck. Let's hear it. Happy anniversary Blue...
