How many gallons does the gas tank hold? Just a regular behind the seat gas tank for a 1965 Ford F100. Thanks.

 

owners manual says 15 would swear I have put 18 in mine

 

The 64 truck service book says 18 gallons. Dont think tanks changed in 65-66.

C1TZ-9002-H .. 18 Gallon In-Cab Fuel Tank / Replaced

Original applications: 1961/69 F100/750 / 1963/69 N500/750.

In 1970, FoMoCo replaced C1TZ-9002-H with D0TZ-9002-A .. 19 1/2 Gallon In-Cab Fuel Tank for use as a Service Part Replacement.

This tank was also installed in 1970/72 F100/750's.

So, the DOTZ-9002-A applications are: 1961/72 F100/750 & 1963/69 N500/750.

The D0TZ tank has been reproduced (by Blue Oval Truck Parts), is available from all the repop parts sellers.

 

i just purchased one from LMC, replacement for my 65 f100, its 19.5 gallons, old was 18.0 gallons, ok, keep on keeping on..

 

If you had bought the D0TZ-9002-A repro tank in CA instead of KS, you coulda saved some buckaroos on the shipping charges to WA
