I like the LUK. It's great if you're not towing super heavy loads. I got 150k miles out of my last one.

I'm running a southbend 450hp clutch in mine. The stock clutch was slipping in 5th as soon as I put the programmer on it. Between the extra power and the 37" tires the stock clutch wouldn't hold. it only had 100,00mi on it when I took it out and it looked like new still.

LUK, and South Bend are great options, but there is also Valair. If you weigh your choices, and lean twards Valair, holler at me on a PM and I can help you get a smokin' deal on it.

The difference between a Valeo and a LUK clutch.
The LUK, I hated, it would bunny hop in reverse all the time.

That's a good pic Dan. But just making sure, I was saying Valair, not Valeo. Two different animals.

That's interesting Dan. Both of mine have been smooth as silk in reverse.

I just put a valair ceramic/kevlar in my truck. I will tell you how it drives compared to my luk organic tomorrow afternoon. I'll tell you though the organic luk took a lot of abuse and I finally tore it up when trans went out last week when a seal failed. A 3800rpm 4th gear launch to get off the interstate it didn't like to much. It pretty well cooked it.

My impression just moving the truck in the garage back and forth was good. The clutch pedal is much smoother and easier with the valair for sure.

You are not wrong in my opinion, ceramic will get jumpy. But you are forgetting that Valair also offers a sprung hug organic dual disk. It's smooth as silk. I'm running on right now in Rockee (my daily driver). And it will hold well north of 400hp.

Also, you can ask about different facings on each side of the clutch. They will taylor it to your needs, and still stay in the price range. I recommend calling up there and talking to them. Tell them Cody from Death Row Diesel sent you and they will hook you up.
