How do I stop my Email from being crashed with subscriptions?

I've tried clicking on the link the disable notifications but there is never a source. It's gotten so bad I've tried staying logged out and they still get through. Is this intentional by the site or something broken?

Edit Options, then under Messaging & Notification set your default subscription mode to "no email notification". Scroll down, save changes.

And NO MORE NAMING CHICKENS!
