Testing 4x4 high/low ESOF
Well most days when I'm heading home I have a couple of straight (asphalt) roads. I know that using 4x4 high/low is best using gravel/mud etc. I reach the first stop sign and I'll switch to 4x4 high using my ESOF, my light for 4x4 come on and I can hear it shifting to 4x4 high, I will drive straight in high to the next sign. Well today I decided to test my 4x4 low, so I get to the next sign and I put the truck in neutral and switch to Low, and I still see 4x4 and then I also see the low range light come on. I put the truck in drive and head for the second sign while still driving straight. The max speed I'm going all the time is less than 25 mph, I watch my tach and my SGII and my gear changes gears while around 1300 rpm, and it went from 1st all the way to 4th then I reach the next sign and switch it out of 4x4 especially since after the the last sign is turn and I don't want to use 4x4 while turning unless I really need to.
My question is does this sound right when using 4x4, I have a 04 F350 SD.
