Big, huge, weekend project...with pics!
OK, for all of those wise donkeys that insist upon seeing visual evidence of my being physically productive in a Ford related activity, this thread is for you!
After much encouragement from my Mrs, (also called "nagging") over the last 36 hours, I did manage to successfully repair the malfunctioning turn signal in the 2008 Escape.
Step one: Put the patient vehicle halfway in the garage.
Step two: Take a "before" picture for the benefit of the doubters among you. You know who you are.
Step three: Begin dis-assembly process. (remove screw x 2)
Step four: Picture of high tech screw removing implement, and visual evidence of fasteners removed from fixture.
Step five: Visual evidence of empty fastener hole. (1 of 2)
Step six: Driver side rear light fixture dangling from vehicle...
Step seven: Plug in removed from fixture, light bulb removed from plug in.

Terry I know good and well you daughter did all the work, probably backed the car in the garage without you assistance. While you slept on the couch, after eating a pan of Ms Pam's brownie's.
She did the whole job herself, except the part where you picked up the screwdriver long enough to get a pic. Quit trying to fool your ol buddie's on this one, the last time that hand held a tool was when you uses a flat tip screw driver to open a budweiser can.
And I know that she has more "seat time" on the craftsman lawn mower than you.
"Hee-Haw hee haw" and I quote you: "over the last 36 hours, I did manage to successfully repair the malfunctioning turn signal in the 2008 Escape".
I so have a blast picking on you, so lets just say "you lie to your friends, I'll lie to mine, but lets not lie to each other about you working on a Ford", ok?
The factory repair manual say it s .4 job BTW, and I like the just make 3 rights to go left.
Thanks for the thread, there ol chapter leader.
