I can’t get my pulley belt to get tension again I got my new alternator in but when I pull on the b
If you feel around under the tensioner, there is a little "kickstand" on the bottom. Get your belt in place (except for the alternator pully)and pull hard and the tensioner will move. Once you have the slack you need it's easier to hold it there, reach under the tensioner and push the kickstand up while releasing tension and it will catch. After putting the belt over the alternator pulley, give the belt a quick yank and the tensioner will release and thigh ten the belt.
OR, using a small (pocket size) common screwdriver unclip the small eyebrow shaped cowling from the main radiator shroud. There is a rubber seal where they meet, if you pull the rubber back you can see the tabs that lock it in place. Work carefully, the eyebrow panel is easy to break. Once that's off put a half inch drive ratchet (or breaker bar if you want more leverage) in the tensioner arm there is a place for it on the tensioner arm, you may want to feel around and locate it first as it's not visible even with the eyebrow panel off. Pushing the ratchet handle towards the drivers side of the truck reliefs tension from the belt, allowing it to return toward the passenger side tightens up the belt.
You could also use the ratchet to lock the kickstand in the belt loose position, and give the belt a yank after it's in position on the alternator pulley to restore tension.
Good luck!
Here is a thread with a good pic of the belt routing if you under hood sticker is gone:

If the belt is NOT routed correctly, you need to reroute it...and THEN pull harder.
