I don't know about "fine tuning", but you'd probably have to tighten'r down all the way and use some air pressure applied to the diaphragm to get the rod connected. When I had the 1.0 housing and a Turbo Master WG Controller, I shimmed up the adjustment until the WG was pretty much disabled.

Thanks Roland.....I don't want to disable it....I understand the 38R is good to 40psi boost and would like to stay under that, for longevity reasons..what i am working on is a e99 for my 03....38R turbo(possibly upgraded at a later date) Terminator dual HPOP,Full Force stage 2 HO injectors,ARP head studs..ect,ect,ect.....I was hoping that there was a way to adjust the wastegate while the turbo is out....Its a pain with it in and my large hands and butter fingers

I was looking at the 1.15 housing, I am using 1/2 of the Banks Monster exhaust with the power elbow...The Elbow won't work with the housing so i would have to buy more exhaust..I would like to stay away from that... It really depends on how the truck acts when we get the motor installed..I am real interested in what the egts look like...

Thats what i did, Roland, thinking i would have more boost to my turbo, and it actually decreased the psi #, by as much as 5psi...with redline hooked, cant get more than 12, w/out it hooked up, 15psi tops....

Sounds like you got boost leaks Timmyboy. It has to be going somewhere. I know you just rebuilt your turbo so the wheel should be okay. Use some soaky water around the heads and boots with red line disconnected and see what happens. Or use compressed air and tester and do the same. Just my 2cents. I get 18# in stock mode with my E99 turbo and 22psi in 60 & 80E. Just a thought brother, God bless, Chet

been there, done that Chet. Made me a killer boost leak detector. No bubbles anywhere, soot marks that the naked eye can see..etc, nothing. O-well, kinda stoked about, least now, it cant twist outta control, and where i camp, the hills are not bad-enough to need more boost.
ide note, the boost gauge comes into play, nicey..meaning, it'll read 2psi, and climb respectivly to the tapped-out mark..(14/15psi at most, with redline disconnected).

Well the guage could be whats wrong if all else checks out but they usually just fail or stick . Good luck timmyboy that would bug me to. Someday I'll get this late model turbo on my truck and see what happens. Probably not a big difference till I put in the injectors but can't wait to see.
