Ok guys! As you know I love the 239, but it is an acquired taste! I have four of them right now in my garage! (Rick, still have the one you referenced in your note). As for parts, I really have no problem finding what I need. The real market for these engines is not in the trucks, its the 54 sedans. I have inadvertantly become a collector of 239 parts and do a fair amount of trading with the sedan owners. I had a sedan owner pay me $500 for two blocks about a year ago - but you do have to wait for the buyers to come around. It really does depend on your taste - I'm a pure stocker and would have nothing else in my 54 F100 Fordomatic!

 

Bessie, I am sure you receive plenty of people offering up 239's for sale and I too have one for sale with the original 3 speed still bolted on it also includes all the motor attachements except the air cleaner. This is as complete as they come. If you are interested please contact me as I am local, about an hour from you. Lets make a deal.
