Cb and pa hookup?

Ok so i i want to hook up a cb and a pa system in my truck. It is an 88 f250. I want to hard wire it into my truck. My question is what would be a good setup and how easy is this going to be to install? Any advice would be appreciated.

The best and easiest way to wire the CB into the truck is to use a fuse tap and just tap into anything in the fuse block that has power when the ignition is on (or always on if you so choose). Make sure you tap into the line side of the fuse since you don't want your CB to overdraw the fuse that powers something else, then put a fuse inline of the power to the CB. I know a lot of people will tell you that you need to wire it directly to the battery, but it is a CB, not a high powered audio amplifier. If you're running something close to the legal limit for a CB, you won't even need to worry about it. I have wired all my Ham radios this way and the one I use now puts out about 65 watts which is a LOT more than your CB is allowed. Spend the money on your antenna, as a good one will make it work a lot better.
