There's also a second set of holes on each inner fender to accomodate the different positions of the radiator support. The hood air shields were also different in size and positioning for the two engines.
Don't forget the two little squarish-shaped fillers pieces on either side of the radiator, at the top of the support next to the inner fender aprons. Those were different, too.
Do you have a set of both to measure? I'm curious as to the size for each to compare to what I have. I need to add them to my 52.
Thanks.
I suppose I do. (still working on the first cup of coffee, had to think for a second) I have two 6 cylinder sets from the F6's, and a v8 pair on the Merc. I'll have to do some research on that and get back to you. My guess is that they're almost identical, with the 6's being slightly narrower. Ford parts catalog shows 2 different part numbers.
One more six vs. eight radiator location, the hood panel, above the radiator is different to the two engines. The V8 is wider and is located closer to the cab.
