Looks pretty good for the money, the spare bed has some cancer, wonder what the one on the truck is like. Pros are; good trucks, easy to work on, best looking trucks built IMO. Cons; they love gas, will require lots of tlc most likely, oldtrucks can get in your pocket depending how far you want to go with it. Welcome to FTE

If the truck runs IMO its worth what hes asking if it isnt ate up with cancer. If its just a pump, thats easy, if the steering box, search here, Redhead rebuilds them for around $150-$200 IIRC.

They should be 16.5" wheels, getting tough to find I think. Used? I dont know, call around to tire places or look on craigslist.

I would ****** that thing in a heartbeat! For your tire size question, check out this thread:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...x4-on-33s.html

I got mine used for $140(35`s). I think I paid like $30 for the rims. Look around, craigslist is your friend with these older trucks. Most of all though, have fun!

I think you need more information before determining if the price is right or not. If it runs fairly well and doesn't have any frame rot or serious cancer, then that price is a steal. In general, do be weary if someone does a lot of work on a vehicle and then turns around and sells it after putting very few miles on it - often times there's a story behind that. I think you should go and look at it. The power steering would likely not be a big deal to take care of; no way to know if it's the pump just from reading the ad.

True, but the guy may have got burnt out on working on it. The power steering may have just been the last straw, the guy parks it, then gets tired of looking at it. *Disclaimer* Always look at a vehicle before you buy it though.

Of course I gave a 5000lb vehicle(scrap weight), and $500 for my truck. And it hadn`t been regularly ran for 4 years, and I had to bring my own tires and battery. Around here that Highboy would be a steal, though I don`t know the OP`s local market.

It`s all a matter of perspective.
