I have a 1999 F250 with a 5.4. I also have Gibson shorty headers, stock y pipe, and stock cat. I was thinking about going to dual exhaust, a pipe coming out in front of each rear tire. How easy would this be, would it look good, and is it even possible?? Any response is great. Thanks!

 

Getting it back to the drivers side will be the hard part.
Dump 'em out the passenger side for ease.
Short tail pipes tend to be quieter too.

I have before rear tire dumps on my 02 f150 and 96 Bronco.

 

Just curious, how do you like like the gibson headers? I have their side exit dual exhaust on now and love it

 

well originally i ordered hedman hedders for the 5.4, but i ordered the LD f250, not the SD f250, so those didnt work. then i ordered the gibsons, stainless steel and $612 price tag.

But i LOVE them. they were not difficult to put on (granted i already had my front wheels and fender wells out), they sound great, and i no longer have that stupid manifold ticking noise!

As far as power... i dont know...
I have the headers, with a straight pipe, on a 5.4 with 240k on it. it helps a little, but i cant say its worth $600. however, with your gibson side exhaust, the two might go together great and your get an amazing tone and boost of power.
