And if the OP will allow me to piggy back on this thread, for those with a lot of miles, have you experienced any major engine problems while racking up those miles?

Do you tow anything with your truck? Just wondering what you like and dislike, if anything about your truck? I am in the planning and thinking stages of buying a 2012 and trading my 6.0L. I too am wondering about the longeveity of the 6.2L engines and how well they hold up.

6.2 Miles

I bought my '11 on Dec. 29, 2010 and now have 24,000 miles on it. Other then the trans issue (that I think has been fixed) I've had no problems to date. The last 10,000 miles or so I have been pulling a trailer 85% of the time. The 8 – 10 MPG pulling the trailer isn’t great, but overall I’m happy.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

What kind of gains are expected? And will their tune be compatible with F150 applications too, or just Super Duty?

They haven't divulged the information on the gains yet as of my last communication with them, however if its anything like their recently completed tuner for the eco-boost in the F150 it is going to be great!

Why would you expect the gains to be similar? One is a turbocharged engine and the other a normally aspirated one. I would expect the 6.2 won't respond as well (in terms of absolute hp or torque gains) as the Ecoboost (where a tuner could play with boost).

What does your trailer weigh? And I don't think 8-10 mpg is all that bad but that also depends on how much you are towing. A friend had the 6.4L dsl and he was getting between 6 and 8 mpg towing 12,000 lbs. I get 10-11.5 towing 12,000 lbs. with my 6.0L dsl. I would gladly give up a couple of mpg's to not have to pay for the dsl and all the maintenance that goes with it! I love the way the dsl tows but it is costly to maintain.

That is why I got rid of my 2003 6.0 for a 2011 F-250 6.2 in August 2010 and love it tows great and low maintance cost. Why pay .80 difference on diesel over gas?

Rolled over 12,000 miles today. Has not been back to dealer for anything. Towing is about half of those miles. Only complaint with truck is the cupholders are too large for single cans LOL
