I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of powertrain warrenty they gave with new fords in 2008. My 3yr/36 thousand mile warrenty is over. The issue is it takes a min to shift from 1st to 2nd then doesnt shift any farther and it revs at high amounts before shifting. Can anyone answer this for me. thanks

 

Your written warranty would be with the owner's manual.

If in doubt, your dealer can tell you what your warranty status is.

 

The 2008 Warranty Guide at Motorcraft/FordParts.com shows 5 Year/60,000 miles for Powertrain Warranty.

Had to have the transmission rebuilt on our 2007 escape at 39,000 miles. Was covered under warranty but don't really trust the vehicle now but can't afford anything else.. Your problem sounds similar to what ours started doing and after a period of short time it left us stranded....GOOD-LUCK......

 

Scrooge just called my dealer and they r doing the same. Idk if I trust ford anymore either.
