81-F-150 - That is an excellent part. For a Federally mandated safety part, you would think the manufacturer would be required to keep such items on hand, in limited quantities of course, or offer some sort of conversion.

Grub - Good advice, I'll keep that in mind.

Gary - Thank you for the offer and if I strike out, I'll let you know.

EOTZ-2B257-A .. Brake Pressure Differential Proportioning Valve / Obsolete

Last MSRP: $249.55 / Dealer net cost: $149.73.

Applications: 1980/83 F100/150 & Bronco / 1980/83 F250 under 8,500 lbs. GVW.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Before you ask, Chris...yes, I typed it both ways...on PV and the Ford Dealer Parts Locator System: Nada. Dealer locator: The prices don't appear if it's typed E0.

What the hell am I talking about? 1950/60/70/80/90: If the 2nd digit in the part numbers prefix is a ZERO, it can also be typed as the letter O.

So, it could be E0TZ-2B257-A or EOTZ-2B257-A as it depends on how the real live person typed the number into the system. When looking for parts, the prefix should be typed both ways.

Chris (ctubutis) is aware, now y'all are too.
NumberDummy,
Bronco Graveyard has a D5TZ-2B257-B for $59. I'm trying to replace my broken Kelsey Hayes proportioning valve on my 81 F150. Will it work?

Also my Kelsey hayes valve has E0TA-2b254-EA on it. What does this decipher as?

The one in my 96 Whitey had locked the rear drums down a few yrs ago. I took it apart and cleaned it up once I found out how much they were. That was probably 3 yrs ago and havent had a problem since.

I live by the philosophy that if a part is broke and needs to be replaced why not have a go at it by taking it apart in an effort to fix it? It may suddenly become not trash.
