Converting from steel to wood bed?

Has anyone converted their styleside's bed to a wood bed? I love the look of a wood bed. Since my steel bed will need some repair anyway, I figured why not spend the time converting it.

Yo, I took the hacked up steel bed out of mine and replaced it with white oak boards. You can see pics of it in my gallery. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...238332&width=0
I also had to replace and repair the supports below it as well. I had to locate them at the right height to make the top of the wood be where I wanted it to be. Mine is definately not a fine piece of work, purely functional. I also splined in between the boards with wood strips instead of the metal strips since I used random width boards. Still, I like the way mine is. Here's a link to someone who really did it right on a '66. This pic is what gave me the idea in the first place. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=35028&width=0

Looks great Spur! I realize I've never seen a picture of your truck before. That's a great idea. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't GM have wood beds in their mid 60's styleside beds?
