You need a complete 5.8 EFI motor and a 28oz AOD/4R70w flexplate. You do not need or want any 5.8 wiring harness portions as most 5.8s were batch fired SD so the engine harness is not compatable with what you have, it's better to simply use the existing 5.0 harness. You will also need to either widen the stock Y-pipe or swap in a 5.8 Y-pipe if the truck has the stock exhaust.

were checking out the pull a part. theirs none near us but my parents are going to canton this weekend and theirs one there. at the pull a part you have to pull the motor by your self correct? you do everything?
conanski i know ive asked you before but what does it take to switch the a 5.8? you need the motor, the wiring harness, and a different flexplate right? anything else? he's considering one of those as well.

we unhooked everything so that the motor was free to come out. then someone came over there with a big forklift and pulled the motor out and loaded it onto the trailer. you will need your own chain to attach to the motor to get it pulled out.
