I might have used a different mount hole, there are 2 you can mount the bracket to.

mebe2k is starting off with a positive reputation.
reviving an old thread here.. but I finally got the g3 installed in my truck..(yes..I know I said I was going to do it 2 years ago)...I figured I would wait until the original 60A g2 died..and it finally did.. took that sucker a while.. but one of the brushes finally wore down to nothing..
Installing the G3 was pretty simple, once I ground enough of the 2.8L bracket off to clear the case..the wiring was the easiest part..puts out a nice 14.5V, with everything running, lights, A/C blower, radio, etc... Now I just have a bug to work out..

Bullitt390, did you have any problems with the belt squealing when the engine is first started? Mine will squeal for about 2 seconds, right when the engine starts..i've tried tightening the belt, and it helped a little, but it still squeals when the engine is started....after it squeals upon startup, it doesn't squeal any more..have had the engine upto 4,000 rpm and it is fine..I will try a new belt, since this one is probably glazed, I will also de-glaze the pulleys..thanks again for this thread..

No squealing at all. Definately try a new belt.
