wire for 3rd brake light
Hello peeps!!
just got a leer cap for my 2011 F150 5.0 with tow. I need to find that wire for the brake light. I have been reading and looking.
The only wire I can find in all the places that I'm supposed to look is a very small, thin gauge wire under the hood on the fender well. It is blue with a red stripe. it seems to be way to thin for the brake circit. But it is outside of a wireing harness and dead ends with a srink tube end. It is the only wire I can find that is not inside a harness.
Iv'e seen posts from early trucks, but 2011 is all new motor. That makes me wonder about the wireing harness too.
Please guys I need help!

First Thank You "BP". I just got finish with the wireing project.
For the 2011 F150 it is the small blue with a red stripe wire. It is on the driver side front wheel well. What threw me for a loop was I was testing for the wire using my key fob to flash the lights. That wire only comes on with the brake pedle being pushed.
Any way all is good and thanks again for the advice.
