Where is this oil leaking from (pics) 7.3 6-speed

Noticed my truck leaking oil around the clutch, seems to be coming from inside the clutch housing

It's not pouring out, but a periodic drip.

What is it and how big of an issue?

Check your valley on top of the engine for any oil

Yup, went out again and looked, drips other places and a puddle in the valley.

Puddle didn't show up in the photo.

Check your high pressure oil pump hoses.

Yep, check all the normal culprits. Turbo pedestal, EBPV, HPOP, etc.

If you have trouble locating it, clean it really good, drive it, then look for fresh oil in the front and back of the valley.

My problem was here. It is on the drivers side just to the left and below the fuel filter and HPOP

Ok, I think I've got it:

The nut is not loose, but the hose has a lot of play on the fitting.

I assume it's the oring, I can watch the oil seep reappear.

I've read Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines

I have a cheapo kit of o-rings that may get me by, what is the o-ring size and how do I replace, the hoses don't disconnect using the nut I gather.

Update:

Leak is fixed, was one of the fittings on the HPOP.

I ended up having the dealer fix it...didn't have time to attempt myself.

Just to mention your oil pan need some work before it leaks big time. You don't want the dealer to have to pull your engine to change it out.

I notice you've got the new style HPOP lines. When you changed those, did you also upgrade to the new style fittings? Just wondering if it was a new or old o-ring that started to leak.

Thanks, the pan seemed quite solid, I crawled under and checked that before I bought the truck. The oil pan was the first thing I was warned to check out by the dealership. The build up in the photos is the gooey undercoating that is stuck on almost everything on the truck, just like the front cross member by the pan. The pan is solid black anywhere I scraped off the goo. I think I might clean it all off and paint it up sometime to be safe anyways.

I've only had the truck 2.5 months, those lines were on it when I bought it. The mechanic commented that the lines were replaced at some point. I am not sure if the fittings were changed. The PO told me he had spent a bit of $$$ on some stuff on the top end, I think HPOP stuff and valve cover gaskets etc.

The funny thing was the fitting that leaked was the one at the front, not the one in back like I thought. The oil was running along the HPOP and coming out under the back line.

My valley was still dry a few days after the repair and no more drip coming down the back. I have spent a lot of time cleaning up all the oil off the block and trans the best I could so I can watch if it leaks again.
