Gauge sending units

Over Christmas vacation I'm going to install a water temp. gauge, oil temp. gauge and transmission temp. gauge in a 2004 F350 V10. Can anyone tell me specifically where the sending units are located for those gauges? Does anyone have pictures?

Thanks,

This thread should help you some. Mr Pipeline did a good job with the install.

I used the trans side port for trans temp, diff cover for diff temp, one of the freeze plugs on the passenger side of the block for water temp, and the sender in my aux gas tank for the aux fuel... My gauges are mounted on the A-Pillar...

Nomad,

What kind of diff temps do you see when towing vs. not towing? I have two more gauges to install and considering a diff temp as one that will fill a spot. I installed an aluminum cover hoping that will keep temps down but don't know what kind of temps are going on in the first place.

The diff temps really amazed me... It all started when I noticed that the paint was burned off the OEM diff cover - that prompted me to go to the Mag Hytec cover... I have seen diff temps of just over 220 degrees when towing in the Rockies and pulling some of those 10-12,000 passes... This is pulling a 31' #9400 TT... Solo driving can be 50-70 degrees lower than that, and of course, it all depends on the day weather wise and terrain too...
