Truck is 3 weeks old. When driving, "trailer disconnected" warning comes on in the info. centre. I haven't even had a trailer on this truck yet. The dealer doesn't know what to say other than this is normal. This can't be normal!! Anybody else had this problem? How to fix it?
The computer is not lying. If you don't have a trailer connected then it was letting you know in case you forgot.Us older folks could forget something like that.
Auto385, which screen do you have it set on during your normal driving? I keep mine on fuel mileage info while driving and have not seen anything like you describe.

I have a 2010 and it is not normal. There is a problem with your Integrated Brake Controller. Normally "trailer disconnected" comes on after a trailer has been connected to warn you, if by chance your seven pin connector has come disconnected. It will also come on if you manually activate your Integrated Controller. Then it comes on for maybe 30 seconds and goes back off.
The dealer needs to replace the necessary parts, but given your dealers initial response, I would suggest taking your truck to a dealer service department that knows something.
