Hey, I've read that the Black Maxx and mini max claim to be able to "turn-off" the EGR system without removing any parts. Is this true?? Why hasn't everyone been doing this, if that's the case...?

Great question as i was thinking the same thing. bump bump
No, I'm still on the fence about the whole thing. However, I have talked with Spartan for a while trying to learn all that I can.
I'm on the fence myself, still have a ESP bumper to bumper till 150,000 miles, don't know if i want to risk voiding the warranty, but it seems ford voids warranty's for simple stuff (such as changing the exhaust tips and etc.) and things that have nothing to do with the owner such as bad fuel.
Warranty is probably the biggest thing keeping me on the fence as well.
Bad fuel just cost me $500. Be careful where you buy fuel.
There is a station 15 min from the house that sells only pure diesel (no bio) and i add DK every tank, They also have awesome water separators (3 in a row) which they had no problem showing me, due to the fact i voiced my concern about water in fuel.
As far as I know they are part of some of the packages they sell that now come with 23 different tunes. I am sure some of the SPARTAN experts will chime in.
