Rusty, a convertable in the desert is useless IMO, it's too hot during the day to put the top down, all the junk I carry in a car would get blown away, and a new top is megabucks to replace after the sun rots the old one off. I bet a new top for your Miata costs $1500. I drove them for too many years in my British Car Period, in Chicago.

GB, that is a fascinating story! I've heard of engines dieseling but never backwards! I've just never been a fan of pouring incompressible fluids down the intake of a running engine.
