December Chat, BS, and general nonsense thread...all are welcome.

Howdy, howdy boys and girls!

Yes, I know that we still have eight hours of November to go, but we all know that we've got a MO chapter member currently on the east coast who will be quick to point out that he got into December before the rest of us did...

I'm still celebrating the sale of the 01 Escape.

When we purchased the newer one in April, the dealer had offered us $2,500 trade-in. I didn't accept it because I thought the offer was to low.

I sold it for $3,500 cash yesterday, so I'm ahead $1,000 but it took me six months to do it. I'm not sure if that was worth it or not. ("the list" and I are NOT friends...)

What I am sure of, is that the 01 is sold and I got to make a large deposit at the bank today.

I was not even thinking about being an hour ahead of you, darn that would of been a good one. Congrats on the sell for more than the dealership wanted, yea the list can anger you at times and make you spend money you do not want to.

I am alive and well in upper Pa, its colder than Fl but not as bad a Mo right now. I maybe (probably not) have to work tomorow but atleast will be on the clock for 8.

And fri looks like a hour long brief, but log 8 yea....

Evening all!

I got some work done on the tool box install on my truck. I also disabled it by taking out the power gear box and getting my $230 back! I'll be on the hunt tomorrow for a manual box. It took a while to get everything trimmed and fitted in the correct spot. It should be done tomorrow. I still have to figure out how to remount the rocker trim. One thing I was glad to see, the rockers have ZERO rust under the trim.

Cool RC! Thanks!

Ches, it's not that great. I tried not to disturb to filler from the wheel well patch, but I'll have to grind some away and re-mud it. I cracked it a little, so it has to come back out and get re-applied. It also took me three hours to get the bed and patch panel trimmed and located so it'll go together. There's still lots more to do to get it finished, but it's coming along. Patience is the key.

Looks like December was a little "Pre-Mature".... I hear january is coming up in just a couple weeks. Sorry...... I had to.
Still nothing here Ford truck wise other than I did drive one around town today.
Made it our to Sparta, then into Springfield to get a professional set-up (adjustments) done on one of my nicer acoustic guitars.
Cleaned the garage/my room/man cave.
Cleaned the dryer that we reaplced. Got it on "The List" and have somebody that wants to see it (or another pipe dream) tomorrow.
Rich glad to hear you made the trip ok. How long are you in the states?

Unk Bob

Wonder if the tool boxes could be put in the sides of the bronco?

Working on the 14 bolt tonight, need to find these

They go on the out side of the spider gears, All i can find is a kit that has all the gears too! I just want new shims! one site called them pinion thrust washers?

Also forgot to show you the finale color choice for the Bronco!

John Deere green? You gonna two tone it with a little yellow?

I think an axle shop would have something like that laying around. I would check out a place that sets up rears. (I don't have any)

As far as the tool boxes go, Maybe is the best answer I have for you. The truck box may be too big for the short wheelbase in the Bronco. On the up side, I could probably build you one to custom fit the bronco.
