well ive finally decided to crownvic swap my all stock 61 lwb uni custom cab that my gran dad bought new im putting in a full roller 5.0ho with world product heads a 5 speed trans from a 92 f150 i have all the parts gathered up including some new restoration parts like new headliner, seat , a straight hood cant wait to actually drive it at 70 mph cause it only goes 60 now haha ill post pics when i start the project feed back is always greatly appreciated
You may want to measure the width with tires of that CV rear before you decide to change out the axle you have.

garbz is the rear narrower on the than the front i just wanted to retain the same track width front and rear im gonna run 06 mustang v6 wheels for the off set
The 03 up CV rear is wider. There are fitment issues with the narrower slick 64 to 66 bed.

It's a 61 uni and I got a 96 cv rear end out of a interceptor any difference worst case I guess I can get some wheel adapters for the wheels and just lower the rear
Well I got my crown Vic front suspension mounted boxed the front frame rails sway bar installed sleeves for the bolts in the frame rear of control arm mounted and man I'm sure glad drilling holes are over lol
