Rough idle, jerking returns after FICM replacement
Last September I had the FICM replaced in my truck because of the rough idle, bucking, jerking and what not and ran just fine for a month or so. Last week the rough idle and all that came back and I have no idea why. The only code I have is ICP sensor circuit low but it has been that way even before and after the FICM was replaced and apparently wasn't responsible for the driveability issues like what I described, I will however change it out soon. Back to the FICM, I checked probably every square inch on the injector/FICM harness and connections and those common chafing spots, but found nothing at all. I changed fuel filters a few days ago as well and still acting up. I had batteries replaced in August. Surely the FICM couldn't have gone bad again in that short of time. What do yall think?

I am going through the same stuff right now. Currently on my second FICM.
I did my ICP and it was oil soaked. Check the tech folder for some basic FICM knowledge.
I am waiting for my Scan Gauge to arrive so I can get some real data before I post my laundry list of issues to the forum.
Good Luck.

I have replaced the ICP and IPR. My truck does not want to start anymore. If I get it started, let it idle, and try to restart......it won't crank back up. So my issues run a little bit deeper than yours. Like I said, check out the tech folder to learn some FICM troubleshoothing.

Eh, could be.. However I did notice my oil cooler is probably in it's early stages of going bad because the coolant is a slight milky brown color. You don't suppose coolant in the oil would cause the injectors the behave like this would you? Because obviously I know injectors use the high pressure oil to fire.

Yeah I was reading up on that just now. Luckily I hardly drive anywhere outside city limits nor drive it that much at all. Sounds like i'll have to leave it at home and drive something else till I can fix it. What's usually used to fix this? A delete/repair kit maybe, or just a new oil cooler period?

Had similar issues early this year. A local shop was quick to replace my FICM as well. When the issues persisted I started messing with it my self. I discovered the problem with mine by wiggling wires and checking connections while the engine was running. Wiggling the ICP connection harness caused the engine to surge and almost die.
I clipped out the metal crimps connecting each of the three wires and remade the connections with solder. (A little heat shrink tubing and silicone to waterproof)
I am still running with the original ICP sensor and pigtail and it is running great.

Alright, so I figured I might as well get the EGR delete and fix it while im doing the oil cooler. So I ordered the EGR delete kit yesterday and im gonna get the oil cooler today. I know they don't come cheap but do you know where I could get one at a fairly decent price? Does somebody sell rebuilt ones? Thanks...
