Lower Door Cladding - Keep or Toss?

Anybody have any pictures of their Expy (EL?) with the stuff removed? Was washing my POS and noticed 3 doors had the cladding looses

I'm going to pull it this week and see how the paint looks underneath. I'm hoping it looks okay. Worried though because in 2009 when they painted the Expy they might have just taped off instead of removing. So I might have a wicked line in the paint

Was wondering how she'll look without the cladding

I do not think you should paint it tan, I believe that the dual-tone looks hideous! All black or Black and Chrome is FAR better than the dual color. But thats just me

berry1234 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I think if you remove it and paint it tan it will look bad. Like the older Lariat trucks. I say reapply tape and leave it or paint the molding the same body color to give it the Limited look.

Not so fast.

Tylus, I think you'll find that when you go to remove the cladding there will be clips (and holes) also, not just tape.

This is assuming they didnt mess them up when it was painted back in 09.

I say keep them black / body color.

Here you go.

Found a pic of a stripped down door ( assuming they are the same 03 - present )

Notice the abundance of holes
