Check out this. Here they talk about putting a actuator on the tailgate and tie it into the rear door lock. I looked around here by me and found a place that would put it in for about $60. Maybe you can find something like this around you. I went to a truck accessory shop that does this sort of thing.

According to a note posted in RED at the JC Whitney Website, this does not work with a 2011 Ford F250...
