78 F150 and 85 F250 compatible parts?

Hey guys, Ive got a 78 F150 long bed and a friend of mine has an old 85 F250 out behind his house and he said I could have whatever parts I want off of it. Ive already taken a look and its got the 8 lug axles and stuff. The dual tanks are missing...as is the radiator.

What besides the door mirrors, seat, and drivetrain are compatible with my truck? I was thinking the springs at least.

I was really hoping to get the axle, but I dont know if there is a way to convert it from 8 lug to 5 lug.

I put a '77 Body on an '84 F-250 frame NOTHING is compatible. Not a dang thing! Everything is different. It would be easier to make Chevy parts fit.

The only thing I found that would bolt right up is the bed, but then the body lines are WAY off and the wiring harness is different. The rear is different too. The spring centers are different on the '85 than they are on your truck. Unless you can use the long block of the engine, nothing is of any use to you.

What about the blower motor?

Trans is different unless it's a stick, but it still may be different anyway, depending on what the trucks came with. There were a lot of options back then.

Maybe the blower motor? That may be different as well. You could always check that one out.

Just cross reference the blower motor part numbers. WAY different.

Both are auto trucks.

This just flat out sucks. guess I'll grab the mirrors than.

What trans is in it? an overdrive trans? if so...I might consider swapping it into mine for a few extra mpgs.

The rear window will fit. Bed liner or camper shell if it has one will too.

sadly its a one piece window. I have an extra rear slider already. No camper shell or liner.

crazy thought...would the windows' weather stripping fit? The part that keeps the window from rattling in its slides?
