Harmonic Balancer Repair Sleeve Replacement

I had to pull the harmonic balancer off the truck due to a little oil leaking out somewhere up there. How do I get the old repair sleeve off the HB in order to put the new one on? Is there a tool? If so where can i find it or what is it called? Also, how do I go about putting the harmonic balancer back on since the bolt wont be long enough to draw it in?

Don't know about the repair sleeve, maybe someone else does. But putting it back on just use a longer bolt, draw it in then remove it and put the wright bolt in.

Heat it up in a 200 degree oven will help too.
A coleman stove with a canning kettle of boiling water will work too.

I ended up cutting it very carefully with a dremel. I went 99% through and then popped it with a screwdriver. Then I welded it back together and used it on top of the new one to tap it into place with a hammer. I will probably end up using the longer bolt trick to get the whole thing back on.

Is there a special, over-size seal that complements that sleeve, or is it just very thin like a Speedi-Sleeve?

The damper uses a wear sleeve in its stock configuration and the seal is sized accordingly. The sleeve is a bit thicker than a standard Speedi-Sleeve. I removed my damper with ~190k miles and almost no wear on the sleeve. Just required a slight polish with emery cloth before sending it to Bill
