New ride
2010 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost AWD.
We previously sold the Excursion and picked up a Kia Soul for a short term car. While it was an excellent vehicle, the Soul was just a bit small for us, and we were looking at the Ford Flex as a replacement after the first of the year. While looking at some used Flex's on the various websites, I was noticing that the Flex's cousin the Lincoln MKT was selling for close to the same pricing, and many times, with fewer miles. I found this one in Georgia, and made a deal on it. Original sticker price was $58,370, and it has every option on it that was available except for the headrest DVD's and the power folding 3rd row-both of which I have no use for.
The dealer originally had this one listed for $44,999, and I bought it for $37,000. It's literally like a new one with just 11,000 miles on it.
The EcoBoost 3.5L V6 in this thing is amazing-it just never seems to run out of power. On the trip back from Georgia, it averaged 23mpg with the cruise set at 75mph, and the AC on.
