64 F100 Utility Body
Could use some DSO, Body and Paint Decode help for my 64 F100 project. The color code area is blank, the body code is 481 and the DSO is 752299. Interior is Prairie Bronze, which was a Mustang color.
Truck is being built as a FDNY tribute vehicle, and local firefighters are helping with design ideas. (See website www.dblewis.net - FDNY Tribute Truck for ideas.)
I understand the other codes (223 CI six, 3 spd, 3.89 Axle, Feb 64 build month, etc). Photos of the truck, vin plate and the rebuild process are at www.dblewis.net - 64 F100 Project Any help on the remaining codes would be appreciated!

F10JR510713 / 114 / COLOR code blank / F100 / 481 / A / 12 / 5000 / 114 / 3600 / 757299
F10 = F100 2WD
J = 223 1V I-6.
R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
510713 = 1964, assembled March 1964.
114" Wheelbase.
COLOR code blank.
F100 2WD, 5,000 lbs. GVWR
481: 4 = Light Beige Crush Vinyl & Light Beige Rib Vinyl // 81 = 81A Standard Cab.
A = Ford type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.
12 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.89-1 / non Limited Slip / 3,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
114 net HP @ 3,600 RPM
757299:
75 = Phoenix AZ Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
7299 = Domestic Special Order number. The truck was ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
When there is no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, the vehicle is painted a non standard color per the original purchasers request.
This makes the vehicle a Domestic Special Order. It's also possible that Ford sent the truck out...after it left the assembly line...to have the utility bed installed, but...
There is no way to prove this, or to determine what the exterior color is...because FoMoCo THREW AWAY all the records years ago.

welcome to FTE;
I like your ideal as a tribute; check with local fire departments in your area and see if they will donate some old parts like siren ; light bar; and what I think will look especially cool is either a booster reel or the bed fill with old cotton supply & attack lines. Two tone color will look cool. Maybe have FDNY department patch on doors along with FDNY. Just a few thought or comments floating in my head.
Again welcome.
